Jasmin, a middle aged woman from Bavaria rows with her husband while on holiday in the US. She leaves him and finds herself alone in the desert off route 66, somewhere between Disneyland and Las Vegas. After wandering into a shabby motel complex, “Bagdad Cafe”- a watering hole run by bossy Brenda and frequented by a bizarre collection of individuals- an unlikely friendship develops between the two women. Stars Marianne Sagerbrecht, CCH Pounder and Jack Palance.
