Episode number 12 of Series “A World of Festivals”.
For two months before Easter the French town of Limoux celebrates the end of winter with the oldest continuous carnival in France. As well as showing preparations for the carnival and the carnival itself the video also visits the neighbouring medieval town of Carcassonne and shows the making of the unique sparkling wine of the area, Blanquette de Limoux.
