Episode number 5 of Series “A Day in the Life of a Woman”.
Johura lives on an island on a river in Bangladesh with her husband and small children. They are very poor and, to supplement their income, Johura makes an arduous journey every day into Dakkha where she works as a machinist in a textile factory. Her life is hard, yet she strives to educate her own children as well as those of the neighbouring shanties. Franca Arena introduces her story.
