The shadowy world of German espionage in wartime Britain. Bridie Quilty has grown up in the west of Ireland under the influence of her father’s nationalism and becomes an innocent member of a German spy network. When she discovers secret plans for the D-Day landings - and falls in love with an English officer on leave - she faces her moment of truth on the Isle of Man in the climax of this atmospheric thriller.
