Bring yourself to life in a videogame

In this full-day workshop, students turn themselves into retro videogame characters, and then animate them using block code. Along the way they'll explore the physics of gameplay, and principles of level design.

Students will:

- explore retro game art styles

- turn themselves into pixelated videogame characters

- develop an understanding of sprites, states, and costumes in videogames

- apply game and level design principles to their own creations
