After hours, the room hosts one-off sessions, talks, and listening parties. The lineup has been curated by Yasmine Sharaf host of Cease + Desist on Triple R and Robin Fox, co-founder and artistic director of MESS.
The Friday night Listening Room session tickets are allocated by ballot. You can enter for a chance to win by purchasing a ticket to Reverb: This is a journey into sound.
No separate ticket is required. Director’s Cut/s Listening Room sessions are drop-in and included with your Reverb exhibition ticket. Simply head to the Listening Room during your visit to join a session. Stay for as little or as long as you like, capacity in the Listening Room allows for 40 people at a time.
The Friday night Listening Room tickets are all allocated by ballot. You can enter for a chance to win by purchasing a ticket to the Reverb exhibition. One order = one entry.
How do I enter a ballot?
Once you purchase a ticket to Reverb via RISING or ACMI, you’ll receive a link to enter the ballot. If you have purchased but not received your ballot link, please contact your point of purchase and our team will assist.
Do I need to enter separately for each session I want to attend?
No, you can enter all of the ballots for each session you’d like to attend via a single entry form.
My order has more than one ticket in it – can I have more than one entry?
1 order = 1 entry for the Listening Room, no matter how many tickets you have.
How many sessions can I enter for?
When you complete your ballot form, you will be able to select any number of the Listening Room sessions that you like. We recommend selecting only dates that you are able to attend, as ballot winners cannot exchange to a different session.
How many sessions can I win?
Each ballot for the Listening Room will have independent odds i.e. your chances of winning are equal for every session. If the luck is with you that day there is a small chance of winning more than one session, but we anticipate this is very unlikely.
When will I find out if I have won a spot?
Each session’s ballot will be drawn one week prior to the respective session date. Winners will be notified via email and given 48 hours to confirm their spot, at which point a reserve list will be contacted. At this point your order number will be verified to ensure your entry is valid. Anyone without a valid order number will have their ballot cancelled.
How many tickets can I choose?
Either 1 or 2 tickets depending on your preference.
Missed out on a ticket?
A standby queue will be available in the Lightwell on Ground Floor from 30 minutes before the Listening Room event. Please note that joining the standby queue does not guarantee entry, as availability will depend on capacity.
Each Listening Room session has a capacity of around 40 listeners.
