Simon is a virtuoso violonist and an alcoholic. One night, he collapses during a live-to-air TV concert. Following the incident, he is submerged with shame and avoids his wife, Laura. Laura is the women to whom Simon owes his career ever since she set up and managed the orcherstra Simon plays in. In the depth of his crisis, Simon meets Bernard who has been through the same experiences. As Bernard undertakes to heal Simon he unwittingly becomes Laura’s rival who cannot accept to see Simon receiving assistance from anybody but her. Awards: French Academy of Cinema (Cesar) - Best New Director of a Feature Film 1987.
