Jenny, the manager of a nightclub of dubious reputation, gets involved with Lucien, a member of a gang of criminals. Benoit, the crooked owner of the club, employs a hunchback accomplice to help put an end to their affair. Meanwhile, Jenny’s daughter falls in love with Lucien and becomes her mother’s rival. ‘Jenny’ is Marcel Carne’s first film as director and the first of seven collaborations with screenwriter Jacques Prevert.
