Remy Viachet is a lonely old man with money worries. During one of his solitary walks, he finds a stray dog and decides to adopt him. Remy manages to sneak the dog in his appartment unbeknown to the concierge. One day the old man is found dead in his flat, the floor littered with dog food tins intended for an animal that does not seem to exist.
