At the end of the 19th century, an orphan girl living near the Mont Saint-Michel island is secretly in love with her cousin Alain. Alain has two passions: the sea and Amelie’s Parisian cousin, Fanny. Realising that her secret love may never be repaid, Amelie slowly loses the will to live.
