A Lyons schoolteacher in her early thirties suffers from severe depression as a result of a crisis of faith in her work and unresolved differences in her relationship whith her lover. On doctor’s orders she take a week off during which she visits her parents and has several encounters, notably with the father of one of her pupils. Placed specifically in time - Winter, 1980 - and place - Lyons, its landscape filmed with loving detail - this is a portrait of a woman trying to find sense and direction in her life.
