Episode of Series “Aboriginal legends”.
The Bat’s wife was stolen from him by Rainbow. To get her back Bat mortally wounds the sleeping Rainbow. Bleeding badly, Rainbow rolls into the waterhole where he can still be found. Occasionally, during wet weather, Rainbow rises from the waterhole and stretches his handsome body across the sky. This title is also available in a compilation with two other legends under the title “Aboriginal legends. No. 3” Suitable for middle and upper primary levels.
