A teenage boy in trouble with his father and the law runs away from home with a friend. While he is away, his village is evacuated due to the threat of an explosion at a nearby nuclear research station. The boys return to their empty village and encounter a bank robber who pursues them into a mining site. Meanwhile, at the regional assembly point, the boys are discovered to be missing and a search is launched. A race against time and danger commences, to locate the boys avert an explosion and apprehend the robber.
