Series 3, episodes 1-7. “Best Laid Plans” (Dir: Steve Jodrell) Bulldozers arrive the Bay and the council reveals plans to tear down the boatshed - Max’s house; Karen quits the police force and leaves Angus, and Max and Laura finally kiss. “How Much Greener was my Neighbour’s Valley?” (Dir: Steve Jodrell); The CFA dance has a Latin theme this year, and a passionate Latin dance instructor arrives in town, with eyes for Max who falls for her charms; and Jules is arrested for theft and must appear before Laura. “Hungi Jury” (Dir: Mandy Smith); Laura joins the women’s auxiliary and is cut down to size by club president Vicki Drury before she even begins; Max and Carmen begin a passionate affair and Angus quits as the court clerk. “Bonfire of the VCRs” (Dir: Mandy Smith); Carmen leaves town and Meredith believes Max is responsible for her niece leaving; the town join forces to save Phrani from being forced to declare bankruptcy and Meredith and Bob form an alliance when plans are revealed to build a tunnel between Pearl Bay and Port Deakin. “Pipeline” (Dir: David Cameron); Angus is approached by a local surfing legend to design a new surfboard and is thrilled until his template board is stolen and he decides to take the law into his own hands, resulting in a court appearance in front of his ex boss and his ex girlfriend. Laura is swept off her feet by a new man in town. “Adversely Possessed” (Dir: David Cameron); Laura and Warwick become closer although the town seem to like him more than she does; and Miranda joins the staff at The Oyster. “Blowing in the Wind” (Dir: Stuart McDonald); Laura settles into her relationship with Warwick, Sergeant Grey’s trumpet is destroyed by a disgruntled prisoner and Griff decides to settle down.
