Families
We welcome families with kids of all ages, but children under the age of 13 years must be always accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 years of age.
We frequently offer exhibitions, workshops and activities that are family friendly, especially during school holidays. Our ongoing exhibition, The Story of the Moving Image, is free and family friendly – it explores the history of film, TV, videogames and art.
Prams and strollers are welcome throughout the building, except inside exceptionally busy exhibitions, in which case they need to be left in the Cloakroom. We’ll let you know when this so. Otherwise, prams and strollers must stay with you.
Baby change facilities are available at the Flinders Street and Fed Square levels of the building, next to the toilets.
Child Safety
All children have a right to be safe from harm, respected and valued during their visit to ACMI.
